Dear Tracy and Ian, I would like to thankyou for assisting me to urgently return to Australia following the heart attack of my mother. Being in Ohakune on the foothills of Mt Ruapehu at 8pm , a long way from any transport, I was overwhelmed by your generosity in assisting me get home in such a short time. Firstly, I was impressed by the way you dropped everything and jumped to the task of assisting me. You searched through the Internet and called various bus companies to find a way to get to an Airport in the quickest possible time. Then Ian drove me, on very short notice in the middle of the night, the 2hrs to Lake Taupo to catch a 1am bus to Wellington. It was beyond the call of duty. Not only that, but he waited with me until the bus arrived - another extraordinary effort. I did arrive back in Australia in time to witness my mother suffer a second major heart attack, which I am pleased to report, she is currently recovering from. Before leaving Kings I was enjoying the trivia in your bar area by the fire and would like to return one day to finish the trivia and complete my holiday. I am sure the upcoming world cup in NZ will be a resounding success if the hospitality you showed is any example of what is on offer. I have received plenty of positive feedback about the trip from people attending and especially how friendly the staff at Kings were. And of course the value for money and the yummy food. I'm sure you'll get plenty of return business from what people have been saying. With the last place we used to stay we received a few complaints but I've only received commendations for the Kings.
So thanks soooo much for everything.
Also, we'd like to book in next year if we could. Can we please book exactly the same rooms (incl. the house) for the weekend/nights 20 & 21 August 2010?

Subject: A Big Thankyou I would just like to thank all of you that were working last Saturday on reception, restaurant and the bar..... Not only were you accomodating but the friendly atmosphere that the staff provided was just brilliant.
When we arrived the receptionist was a lovely young lady that made us feel most welcome and on our departure was just the same. This was only a fleeting visit down to the snow, as it was by chance that morning that we decided to go for a special treat and ended up in Ohakune.
I would definetly recommend your accomodation to others and was really happy to see while reading the Dominon Post this morning that they had also written about Kings, and how good it was.
Again thankyou and we hope to be able to come down and visit once again in the near future.

Hi, just wanted to give some feedback from our stay with you last Sunday/Monday night.
Your accommodation was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the Queen with ensuite and it was just perfect. It was very clean and fresh smelling when we arrived and had everything we needed.
Its lovely to see so much care and attention to detail has gone into renovating such a beautiful building. I will be sure to tell everyone about our experience and past on the good words.

Just for fun, a new idea to enable you to share your experiences at Kings - we have the Kings challenge:
1) Photos:
Please send us your photo of your event at Kings and if your photo is added to the site you can collect a Kings cap on your next visit.
  2) Kings logo Photo Challenge:
Take a photo of Kings logo on our T-shirt in some exciting or weird locations (example in front of the Eiffel tower in Paris etc) and if posted on the site you can collect an exclusive Kings cap on your next visit.

2009. Our first entry from Eric Raven would not normally qualify as no Kings logo and not at the Kings location, however Eric still recieves a cap for the first entry and as his email says he was having fun at Kings the day it was created:

your kings website site asked for vids, this one was made last year at turoa. and it's quite funny. Plus we got n it at the Kings on the Saturday night after making the vid.
